Avocado Pits

from $8.50
sale

These create a very grown-up pink that looks fantastic on lace trims and wool scarves, but don’t let it stop you from dyeing doll clothing or infant apparel.

When preparing your dyebath always keep the temperature below a boil especially if you want more pink and less brown. The very patient prefer to heat the pits multiple times to render every last bit of color and many will crush the pits at some point in the extraction process.

A mordant can definitely deeper the shades, but it is not required.
